Qigong With Sound
Sound healing, meditations, and sound baths are gaining more and more exposure and growing in popularity these days. As people experience the healing vibrations of sound they are exposed to frequencies that initiate healing and deep responses in the body.
A sound bath is a meditative experience where participants are "bathed" in sound waves. These sound waves are typically produced by various instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, chimes, flutes, drums and many other different instruments, including the voice.
It is now well known that humming, singing, tapping etc can have a profoundly relaxing affect on the nervous system, something the Ancients peoples and Eastern cultures have known for thousands of years.
In China, healing sounds are used alongside allopathic ‘conventional’ cancer treatment.
The purpose of a sound bath is to create a deeply immersive, full-body listening experience that intentionally uses sound to invite gentle yet powerful therapeutic and restorative processes to nurture your mind and body.
Participants are invited to get comfortable, preferably by lying down on yoga mats, but you can sit in a comfortable position, while the facilitator plays the instruments, guiding them through a journey of sound. The experience is said to promote relaxation, reduce stress, enhance meditation, and improve overall well-being.
Sound healing works by using specific frequencies and vibrations to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. When combined with practices like Qigong, sound healing can be particularly effective due to the way it complements and enhances the energy work that Qigong practitioners engage in.
